Forest Edge Shawlette

  • SIZE: Approx. 12” wide by 46” long, blocked
  • YARN: 400 yards fingering weight yarn
  • NEEDLES: US size 3-32 inch circular and size 5–32 inch circular, or sizes needed to obtain gauge
  • GAUGE: 20 sts and 36 rows = 4” on larger needle, blocked

This shawlette can be worn in the traditional manner with the wide part in the back, or it works really well by placing the wide part in the front as a scarf. It begins with a picot cast on, then the Forest Edge Lace pattern is worked. After completing the lace edging, the remainder of the shawlette is woked with short row shaping in the stockinette stitch, ending with a narrow band of garter stitch.

Bias Shawl

  • GAUGE: 12 sts and 14 rows = 4”

Bias Shawl is worked in garter stitch for an easy project. The pattern is v-shaped so that it hugs the back of the neck and stays on your shoulders. Knit in a chunky weight yarn it is also warm and cozy. Size adjustments can be easily made.
